As it flows through this region, the Jochberg Ache exhibits the traits of an adolescent. No longer a creek, yet barely bigger than a brook. Shallow. Brash. Brisk. This junior river is, however, meters away from the Kitzbüheler road and the mediocrity of intercity commuting. Acting as a shield stands the Jochberg Hotel, protecting the verdant microclimate of the banks. A long terrace has resisted the temptation to loom over the water like piers do, and instead burrows itself a meter in the ground for shelter.
